This was our second time visiting Las Caletas Lodge and our experience was as good or even better than our previous visit. Jolanda booked the taxi from the airport and the boat to Las Caletas and assisted us booking a whale watching trip. Las Caletas is the place to book in Drake if you’re searching for a peaceful stay. A short scenic boat ride drops you off directly on the beach, where the lodge is beautifully immersed between the jungle and the ocean. The atmosphere here is so special — falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of wildlife and the waves. We loved starting the day with an early swim just steps away from the lodge on the serene beach. The location is also perfect for exploring the nearby trails, where wildlife encounters are guaranteed. The staff were wonderful, the food amazing, and the entire experience felt authentic and deeply connected to nature. We only wish we could have stayed longer and can’t wait to return.

Las Caletas Lodge in Drake Bay is truly something special. The natural beauty is unreal—tucked into the jungle with incredible ocean views, it feels remote in the best possible way. Everywhere you turn, there’s something to take in, whether it’s the lush surroundings or the peaceful sounds of nature. The wildlife was a huge highlight for us. We saw so many animals right on and around the property, which made the whole experience feel like an adventure without ever having to leave. My fiancé and I could not have had a more amazing time in Costa Rica than during our trip in December over Christmas week where we stayed at Las Caletas Lodge. Truly the trip of a lifetime! Peaceful lodge nested in nature, so much wildlife to be seen from the long chairs with ocean view in the background. Jolanda helped us very efficiently to organise our stay and plan activities in advance, and on site Mayra runs everything very well and with extreme kindness. Staff helped us very efficiently with luggage upon arrival and departure. Food was great quality and freshly made, which is remarkable for such a remote location, mostly accessible by boat. …
